If you like the idea of saving some money when you shop online, then using a cashback site can be the thing that you need. Cashback sites may seem complicated but they are actually much simpler than you might think. They may all work slightly differently, but the principle behind them is the same.

You firstly need to choose a site. This may not be that easy, especially if you are not familiar with this sort of site and how it works. However, you may be able to find reviews of some of the sites and generally find out more about them by looking at each site.

You will need to register with the site, once you have chosen one. This should be free and you will then be able to benefit from it. What you will then be able to do is to search the site to see what other websites it is affiliated with, you will then be able to see how much you could potentially get in cashback when you buy from those sites. You may find that you get a percentage cashback if you shop online, or perhaps free postage or a lump sum of money. It will vary depending on the specific company that you are buying from.

It is important that when you buy from a company, in order to get cashback, you will usually need to click the link in the cashback website so that they can track your purchase and then give you your cashback. It will take time for the money to appear in your account and sometimes there can be problems with the tracking which means that it never appears. Most sites will have an appeals process where you can report if this does not happen. There will always be some that do not track properly, but as the cash back is just a bonus and you should not be spending extra money just to get it, then it should not be too much of a hardship.

Your cash back will accumulate in your account with the cash back company. You may be sent it at regular intervals, when it reaches a minimum amount or you may have to claim it. It is wise to look at the terms and conditions on the specific site that you have chosen to check.

It may seem like rather a hassle, but if you shop online a lot, then you could be getting money back on all of your purchases. This could add up to a significant saving over time and once you get into the flow of using the site, it should be really easy. It will become an automatic habit to go to the site, search for the retailer and click through the link before making a purchase. Some people have made significant amounts of money doing this and all you have to do is to click a few links before going online shopping.
